Player Mistakes
Back to all Characters
As the latest tall Electro male character inGenshin Impact, Ororon might be better than what players may expect. He’s somewhatcomparable to Fischlfrom a Sub DPS POV and is extremely versatile in a lot of teams.
Like most Natlan characters, activating his Nightsoul Blessing can be extremely beneficial, so it would helpGenshin Impactplayers familiarize themselves better with the new Natlan mechanics and how Ororon’s Nightsoul points can be accumulated during battle.
5Using Random Rotation
One thingGenshin Impactplayers should be aware of is thatOroron shines as a Sub DPS off-field attack unit. His kit is built to target multiple enemies and work hand-in-hand with your Main DPS. If you’re using a Hydro unit in the team (which is a must with Ororon), a rotation would go like this:
4Not Using A Hydro Component
As free to build as any character inGenshin Impactshould be, most characters in the game shine properly when they are used to their maximum capability. For Ororon, his specialty lies in Electro-Charged attacks and the amazing Electro DMG output they can create. This means youneed to have a Hydro characterin your team should you plan to use him.
This Hydro character can either be your Main DPS or support, but as long as Hydro application is included, you will be able to properly maximize his skills. Similarly, this also works in Hyperbloom teams withAlhaitham as the driverand Nahida as the Dendro applicator.
3Using Wrong Artifacts
Quite frankly, because of Ororon’s Sub DPS skills, players might think it’s safe to stack either ATK or Crit on him. But, because you want to keep his skill as active for as long as possible,Ororon will need an artifact set that helps him regenerate Energy. Using something like Thundering Fury might be alright, butScroll of the Hero of Cinder Cityisperfect for any Natlan character. The 4-pc works wonders on the massive Elemental DMG Bonus that party members receive from the Elemental reactions that are created.
Scroll of the Hero of Cinder City is also catered toward Ororon’s kit, since these effects work for off-field DMG as well. Any elemental reaction that is of the same type as the equipped character is what you’re looking for — plus, the Electro-Charged reactions further trigger his Nightsoul Blessing, creating even more damage to surrounding enemies.
2Not Using Ororon In Exploration
Genshin Impactplayers should know by now that all Natlan characters are tailor-made for exploration across the land. For Ororon, hisElemental Skillallows him to perform aDouble Jump and fly up into the air. He consumes Phlogiston points when doing so, but the difference between Ororon and other Natlan characters is that when the Phlogiston bar runs out, he consumes stamina to fly instead. This makes forlonger and easier exploration across Natlan.
1Not Taking Advantage Of Ororon’s Nightsoul Blessing
Unlike other Natlan characters, Ororon has a ratherunique Nightsoul Blessing state. It can be easily triggered off-field, and once he has accumulated enough Nightsoul points, Ororon’s Hypersense Effect will continuously deal Electro DMG based on his ATK to any nearby enemies. There are multiple ways in which Ororoncan obtain the Nightsoul pointsand use the buffed effects:
