The leak reportedly comes from the Version 5.3 beta, where HoYoverse replaced the placeholder terrain north ofGenshin Impact’s Natlan region. HoYoverse has previously shown a pattern of making similar terrain adjustments in preparation for the launch of new major updates or regions. According to the post, Snezhnaya will occupy a sizable portion of the terrain north of Natlan and west of Fontaine.
Genshin Impact: Snezhnaya’s Archon and Story Expectations
While it is still impossible to determine the exact size of Snezhnaya’s playable terrain, many fans agree that the leaked location is likely accurate. A significant difference between the leaked version and the final Snezhnaya is likely to be that the majority of the region will be covered in snow. This aligns with the fact that Snezhnaya is home toGenshin Impact’s Cryo Archon Tsaritsa, who is expected to be one of the main villains in the game.
Genshin Impact’s storyline has already established that Tsaritsa is the leader of the Fatui, one of the main antagonist factions.
