Genshin Impactplayers can plan ahead for the Imaginarium Theater, as the latest beta build has revealed details about the eligible elements and characters found in Season 8. While the Spiral Abyss has long been the sole endgame ofGenshin Impact, the Imaginarium Theater quickly established itself as a worthy alternative once it was introduced in Version 4.7. Unlike the Spiral Abyss, where players are given the freedom to build any kind of team, the Imaginarium Theater is about making the most of specific restrictions.
These restrictions change often, and each Season of theImaginarium Theater inGenshin Impactlasts for a month. The first phase of the Imaginarium Theater for Version 5.3 was datamined recently, but thanks to the latest build on the beta,Genshin Impactplayers should now have the full picture of what to expect over the course of the update.
According to HomDGCat,Genshin Impactplayers are expected to field a team of Pyro, Hydro, and Anemo characters in Season 8, which will take place in February 2025. The Opening Characters will notably feature Hu Tao and Venti, while the Special Guests will be made up of Keqing, Ororon, Yun Jin, andCitlali inGenshin Impact. In terms of boss fights, players will need to square off against the newest world boss from Version 5.2, the Tenebrous Papilla.

Given the popularity of Mono Pyro andVaporize teams inGenshin Impact, Season 8 of the Imaginarium Theater should be a breeze for the vast majority of players. Both Neuvillette and Arlecchino will be available for players to use (or even to borrow from their friends), while Anemo will allow hypercarries such as Xiao to shine. Whereas the Melt focus of Season 7 may leave some players stumped when it comes to building a team, Season 8 will be far more straightforward.
While the Imaginarium Theater can sometimes hint at upcomingbanner characters inGenshin Impact, the only thing that Season 8 potentially implies is that Citlali will either be joined by an Anemo character from Liyue in the second half of Version 5.3, or that Venti will have a rerun in the first half of Version 5.4. The latter is extremely likely, asGenshin Impactloves to give its Archons reruns in back-to-back patches. With Zhongli featuring on the Event Banners in Version 5.2, and Mavuika making her debut in Version 5.3, the only Archons left are Venti and Furina.
