Summary
A reliable source in theGenshin Impactcommunity has provided preliminary info on the rarity and elements of Kimitsuki Ayano and Varesa, with the latter inadvertently revealing Iansan’s rarity as well. Version 5.3 is set to be a packed update, as it will see the debut of Mavuika, Citlali, and Lan Yan toGenshin Impact. The former two characters need no introduction, while the latter is a 4-Star Anemo Catalyst from Liyue that players will be able to obtain during the Lantern Rite.
While Kimitsuki Ayano was rumored for Version 5.4 as a new character from Inazuma, her element and rarity were still the subject of much speculation. Earlier leaks spoke of a 5-Star Electro Catalyst character, but the community largely assumed that this was reserved for a Fontaine orMondstadt character inGenshin Impact. Recent information finally sheds light on Ayano’s status, and even offers an overview of Natlan characters after Version 5.4.
According to Full Stop Chan, and backed up by hxg_diluc, Kimitsuki Ayano will be a 5-Star Anemo character in Version 5.4. However, rather surprisingly, she will also be Inazuma’s firstStandard Banner 5-Star inGenshin Impact. The data also reveals that Varesa will be a 5-Star Electro character, potentially confirming the earlier rumors (and thus implying that she will wield a Catalyst). Given that Varesa will be a 5-Star from the Collective of Plenty who shares Iansan’s element, it can safely be assumed that Iansan will be a 4-Star character inGenshin Impact.
Version 5.4 or Version 5.5
Unknown
Version 5.6 or Version 5.7
The only thing confirmed by the game files about the mystery character is that they’re not from Natlan, that they’re not a Harbinger, and that their debut will be before Ifa, but after Varesa. Taking this into account, there are a few scenarios for how the next few patches will play out. If the Collective of Plenty releases in Version 5.4,Genshin Impactplayers will need a new Saurian exploration ability. Given that Iansan comes before Varesa on the ID list, it means she will have to make her debut in Version 5.4. However, if the Great Volcano is delayed until Version 5.5, then it makes more sense that Varesa andIansan inGenshin Impactwill launch together in Version 5.5.
According to earlier leaks, Version 5.6 isrumored to add Mare Jivari toGenshin Impactas the final map expansion of Natlan. If this information is correct, it makes sense to launch both the mystery character and Ifa during the same patch. However, there is also the possibility that Natlan will have a similar release cadence to Fontaine, where the final two patches will be packed with new units. Notably, threeGenshin Impactcharacters are still missing from the ID list, and it’s most likely that they will only make their debut in Version 5.7 and Version 5.8.
