Summary
Genshin Impactis making a major change to world bosses in Version 5.3, as the latest beta build reveals that players will no longer need to teleport away to trigger a respawn. While half the equation inGenshin Impactis pulling for one’s favorite characters, the other half is about building them up from scratch. However, the process of grinding Artifact Sets, gathering local specialties, and killing world bosses can be grueling. As a result, the developers have attempted to slowly address the issues and streamline the leveling process inGenshin Impact.
Version 4.8 shortened the respawn timer for world bosses, while Version 5.0 added the ability tocraft custom Artifacts inGenshin Impact. These changes greatly helped players with leveling up their favoriteGenshin Impactcharacters, and thanks to the new in-game tracker for local specialties, the leveling process continues to get less cumbersome.
Version 5.3 is set to completely remove the downtime that players face when fightingworld bosses inGenshin Impact, as the latest beta build reveals that they will no longer need to teleport to a Waypoint or Shrine of the Seven for the boss to respawn. The information was shared viaHakushin, and it’s fair to say that it’s one of the more substantial quality-of-life changes coming in Version 5.3. Other notable features include double rewards for Artifacts and a new Serenitea Pot layout.
Genshin Impact May Add Auto-Respawn to World Bosses in Version 5.3
These changes come at an opportune time, as four new characters are being introduced in Version 5.3. The Pyro Traveler, Lan Yan, Citlali, andMavuika inGenshin Impactare all set to debut over the course of the update, and it’s fair to assume that most players will be leveling up at least one of them. Making the world bosses easy to farm will greatly reduce the time spent gathering the required Ascension materials. Starting from Version 5.3, world bosses will now respawn five seconds after the player collects loot, removing the need to teleport away.
Version 5.3 will come with both a new world boss and a new Trounce Domain, though the latter will experience no changes to its format. Players will be happy to know that, apart from talents, they will be able to pre-farm most of the materials for Mavuika ahead of time, as she shares the local specialty with Chasca and the Ascension materials with Xilonen. That being said,Citlali inGenshin Impactwill require Ascension materials from the new world boss to level up. Version 5.3 is expected to launch on June 14, 2025.
