The job listing does not mention many specifics about the anime, though it does suggest that the position would act as a go-between for HoYoverse and Ufotable with “Japanese oral communication” skills required. TheGenshin Impactanime has yet to receive a release window.
HoYoverse Hiring Writers for Genshin Impact Anime
While development of theGenshin Impactanime may be ramping up, fans have still not been given a concrete idea about the anime’s plot. Many fans have suggested, thanks to the initial trailer featuring the Traveler, that the series will serve as an adaptation ofGenshin Impact’s story into an animated format. Others have suggested that the story may differ from the game, potentiallytaking cues fromGenshin Impact’s mangaor featuring an alternative cast, similar to other adaptations likeCyberpunk Edgerunners.
The long-awaited debut of theGenshin Impactanime will have plenty of in-game material to work with, with nearly all the main regions of Teyvat now added to the game. August saw the release ofNatlan asGenshin Impact’s sixth explorable region, with the final main region in Snezhnaya expected to come sometime next year. HoYoverse has also given plenty of teasers at the deeper interconnected story throughout recent updates, showing off more of the plot surrounding the Abyss and connections to Kha’enriah. Fans can only hope the new hires mean that HoYoverse is finally ramping up production onGenshin Impact’s anime.
