Summary
Epic Games announces changes to earning XP inFortnite, boosting Daily Bonus Goal Rewards, fixingLEGO FortniteQuest XP, and increasing weekly XP. It’s been a busy week for Epic Games as Chapter 6, Season 1 recently launched, which not only brought in new content intoFortnite, but numerous changes to the popular game as well.
Season 6, Chapter 1, also known as Hunters, brings a Feudal Japan-style theme to the game, mixing ancient and modern structures around the map, spirit boon bonuses, new swords and hitscan weapons being added, as well as a roaming boss to fight known as Shogun X. ThenewFortniteseasonalso brought with it sandbox related changes and unfortunately for players, one such tweak has left fans frustrated.
As part ofFortnite’s Chapter 6 update, the game’s XP has been streamlined, effectively reducing the amount that can be earned per day. Naturally, this has left many players frustrated as the leveling process has slowed down due to limited ways to earn it or game modes just not offering nearly enough as it used to. The recent discussion has managed to catch the attention of Epic Games, who have just announced changes to the XP systems inFortnite.
Fortnite Boosts XP Rewards and Bonuses
In a post on social media, Epic Games has confirmed that it is boostingFortnite’s Daily Bonus Goal rewards, up from 60k to 75k each day. While still not as much as it was previously, especially since the Daily Quests were broken into different game modes instead of being streamlined for any of them, Epic is also increasing the weekly playtime XP across Save the World, Reload, Creative, andLEGO Fortnite. Finally,LEGO Fortnite’s Quest XP has been fixed to reward 25,000 XP instead of just 700 XP.
While the changes are helpful, many longtime players are still frustrated at the restrictions, wishing Epic would just go back to the way they were. It’s unknown if Epic will make any additional changes, though it’s clear that the game is as popular as it has ever been.Chapter 2 Remix brokeFortnite’s own concurrent player recordas the finale event took place.
