The Shockwave Launcher andMythic Charge Shotgunare great weapons to have in theFortnitearsenal, but players are going to need to know where exactly they can find them, and the hardships they may face along the path to doing so.

Where to Find Kit in Fortnite

Where to Get the Shockwave Launcher and Mythic Charge Shotgun

Kit is a boss that can be found in the Catt Corner POI inFortniteRemix, located at the bottom right of the Battle Royale map between Misty Meadows and Lazy Lake.

Kit is usually found patrolling the gas station beside Catty Corner, and will have protection in the form of Shadow Agents. Kit is immediately hostile to players, and he will use the Mythic Charge Shotgun in a fight, so the best weapons to use against him will be some with medium-range, like any Assault Rifle. Since Kit relies on close-range, the best tactic is to keep at an appropriate distance and deal with the Shadow Agents that may cause some overwhelming trouble.

Kit only has around 600 health, which is easy enough to remove with an Assault Rifle with plenty of ammo, so try to stay consistent with headshots and watch out for other teams dropping here. Once Kit is defeated, he will drop the following items:

How to Get Kit as an Ally in Fortnite

After Kit has been defeated, players will immediately see him become an ally to join their team, even in solo mode or with a squad of four. Kit is a useful ally due to his health pool and distraction of enemies, but he can also be a bit of a burden. Kit will throw Shockwave Grenades directed at enemies, which can easily help them escape by giving them a speed boost, or it can throw them away from players who are trying to close distance to get in a shotgun hit. Outside of his utility items, Kit uses his Charge Shotgun which makes him effective at close range.

Also with Kit defeated, players canenter Catty Corner’s Vault as long as they bring along Kit’s Keycard that drops from his defeat. It’s not far from where players defeated him, and it has a stash of Rare Chests that may further increase the player’s arsenal.

Kit’s Shockwave Launcher may require Explosive ammo, but it’s a weapon that doesn’t deal any damage at all and is instead useful as a mobility item. Kit’s Shockwave Launcher will throw out Shockwave Grenades that will push players back and grant them immunity to fall damage, making it great for blasting enemies away and into the storm in the final storm circles, or just decent for escaping the action. The problem with the Shockwave Launcher comes from the fact that it requires a rare source of ammo, as Explosive ammo isn’t the most common find, so players might find themselves with an empty Shockwave Launcher more than once.

Kit’s Charge Shotgun joins the meta in interesting ways, as not only is it a competent shotgun with a high damage output, but it will also tag enemies that have been shot by it. While this is an interesting concept to mark enemies for the whole team to see, the fact that it occurs on a shotgun, a weapon that requires close-range battles, means that it won’t see the greatest use from players.

Outside of its unique Mythic ability, Kit’s Charge Shotgun is a decent choice to use considering its lethal damage. While its fire rate may be slow, players have the benefit of dishing out deadly amounts of damage with a charged shot:
