The day has finally arrived that players get to grab Godzilla inFortnite, allowing them to enjoy the thrills of being a human-sized lizard who just so happens to be the King of the Monsters in his own reality. This version of Godzilla inFortnitecomesfrom the MonsterVerseseries that started back withGodzilla(2014), with the pink details coming from the more recentGodzilla x Kong: The New Empire(2024).
Players can finally grab Godzilla in the Chapter 6 Season 1 Battle Pass through a variety of quests related specifically to Godzilla’s arrival on the Battle Royale island starting from June 12, 2025. Take a look below to see all of Godzilla’s cosmetics, along with just how to unlock him and complete the Godzilla quests inFortnite.
How to Get Godzilla in Fortnite
In order to get Godzilla in Fortnite, players must first have purchased theChapter 6 Season 1 Battle Pass. The Battle Pass can be purchased as part of the monthly Fortnite Crew subscription, or through 1,000 V-Bucks. Once players have done so, they will have access to the Godzilla Rewards page found in the Passes tab in the Fortnite lobby menu.
To get the Godzilla Evolves skin in Fortnite, players must earn 12 levels in Chapter 6 Season 1 after July 20, 2025. This means that players need 960,000 XP, and even if players are over level 12, they must earn an additional 12 levels. Luckily, there are easy ways to level up in Fortnite.
How to Complete All Godzilla Quests in Fortnite
Considering unlocking Godzilla in Fortnite is not tied to quests, but instead tied to account levels, players will want to complete every quest they can to get the XP required for Godzilla. Luckily, Godzilla has his own quest tab, with each quest providing 25,000 XP, and here’s how to complete them all:

Investigate the footprints (0/1)
The Godzilla footprint is found at Overlook Lighthouse, just by the beach that leads through to Shattered Span.
25,000 XP
Damage opponents from one story above or higher (0/120)
Stay at a higher elevation to other players and deal 120 total damage. This is easily done from rooftops using effective hitscan weapons like the Holo-Twist AR or the Hunting Rifle.
Find out Monarch’s secrets (0/3)
There are four spots for Monarch’s secrets, but players just need to find 3:
Travel distance while airborne (0/1954)
The easiest way to get airborne is through dropping and gliding from the Battle Bus, finding Launch Pads, activating Shockwave Grenades, and using the Kinetic Blade and Typhoon Blade in the air.
Place Kaiju detection beacons (0/2)
There are four potential placements for the Kaiju detection beacons, and players just need to place two:
Place Godzilla Evacuation Shelter signs (0/4)
Godzilla Evacuation Shelter signs can be placed at the entrances of two tunnel systems:
Acquire Godzilla’s Medallion by doing the most damage to him (0/1)
Deal the most damage to Godzilla out of all the players fighting him to acquire Godzilla’s Medallion. If players fail to get the Medallion, then look to the map and eliminate the player who has it, as they will be revealed on the radar.
Hit Godzilla using a Quad Launcher or Rail Gun (0/10)
The Quad Launcher and Rail Gun spawns in Monarch Air Drops which appear near Godzilla once he has spawned. Godzilla just needs to be shot a total of 10 times.
Hit Godzilla on his weak spots to acquire Godzilla’s Fragments (0/10)
Godzilla’s weak spots can be found on the glowing pink parts of his body, and destroying them drops Godzilla’s Fragments that can be picked up.
Dash using Godzilla’s Fragment (0/3)
Godzilla’s Fragment can be consumed, and players can use the jump button in mid-air like a dash.
Search Monarch Supply Drop (0/2)
Monarch Supply Drops will appear once Godzilla has spawned in, and they will drop around Godzilla.
Send opponents flying with Godzilla’s stomp (0/5)
After becoming Godzilla through the rift portal, activate Godzilla’s stomp with L2/LT/Right-Mouse when players are underneath to stomp on them.
Destroy structures using Godzilla’s Heat Ray (0/38)
After becoming Godzilla through the rift portal, use the atomic breath with R2/RT/Left-Mouse on structures. The easiest location for this is Seaport City.
Roar as Godzilla (0/1)
After becoming Godzilla through the rift portal, press X/A/Space to roar.
Deal explosive damage (0/5,000)
Explosive damage is best dealt to Godzilla with the Quad Launcher.
Damage players as Godzilla (0/393)
Using Godzilla’s Heat Ray is the best way to deal damage to players, and players can locate enemies with the Roar.
Damage vehicles (0/2,024)
Find vehicles around the Battle Royale map and simply shoot them until they explode.

To earn all Godzilla rewards, players need to earn a total of 24 levels. That’s a total of 1,920,000 XP, which is a lot harder to obtain than the previous method from secret skins in the Battle Pass, which simply required specific quests for each reward.
