TheFortniteChapter 2 Remix map was the subject of a modeling clay sculpture created by Reddit user SMPlushFilms, who replicated the island as seen from the map screen by hand. The island displays most of the most popularFortniteChapter 2 Remix locations and landing spots, making for an impressive recreation that, for many veteranFortniteplayers, is instantly recognizable.
Fortnite Chapter 2 Remix Clay Sculpture Models Almost the Whole Island
SMPlushFilms' sculpture was created from modeling clay in various colors, and took “nearly a week” to make. It incorporates a surprising amount of detail, for a map that’s based on a greatly zoomed-out view of the island. Using various colors of clay to represent rivers, roads, and landscape features, the map represents major locations like the Weeping Woods, Snoop Dogg’s Doggpound mansion in the center, and Steamy Stacks to the northeast. The sculpture also accurately captures topographical differences, correctly modeling major features like the tall mountain overlooking Misty Meadows, andthe renamedFortniteShark Island, which was taken over by rapper Ice Spice and turned into “Ice Isle.”
The only thing missing from theFortniteChapter 2 Remix sculpture is the Rig, the massive offshore industrial facility sitting near the coast of Slurpy Swamp. SMPlushFilms' acknowledged that the location was missing in their description of the sculpture, promising to add it in a future update.
The sculpture greatly impressed the members of theFortniteReddit community, with commenters praising SMPlushFilms' “sheer dedication” and sculpting skill. Others remarked on how easily recognizableFortnite’s map locations are even from a minimal amount of detail, and likened the creation to another recent fan work thatrendered the map of Elden Ring in low-poly 3D.
