According to the patch notes (andcorroborated by Nintendo Life),Final Fantasy 7version 1.03 on Switch removed previous restrictions on the console’s sharing features, including screenshots and videos that could not be taken during specific moments in the game’s main story. This change is also included inFinal Fantasy 7version 1.04 on PS4 and Xbox One. One of the cutscenes affected by the new update wasAerith’s death at the hands of Sephirothin the Forgotten Capital. Before versions 1.03 and 1.04 were released, Square Enix temporarily disabled the ability for consoles to take screenshots or record videos of Aerith’s death while the scene played out. No other changes were reported in theFinal Fantasy 7version 1.04 patch notes.
