Held every December, the Starlight Celebration isFinal Fantasy 14’s take on Christmas. Each year, festive cosmetics are given out to players who participate in the celebration, often by handing out gifts to children and other NPCs around the realm. According to the game’s lore, the Starlight Celebration is hosted by the Adventurer’s Guild with assistance from Godbert Manderville, the founder of the Manderville Gold Saucer. As part of the festivities, Godbert often dresses incognito as a Santa-inspired figure called the Saint of Nymeia, named after one of Eorzea’s Twelve Gods. Nymeia the Spinner appeared as a boss inEndwalker’sMyths of the Realm alliance raid series, alongside her brother, Althyk the Keeper.

Past Starlight Celebration items will also be discounted on theFinal Fantasy 14Online Store for the duration of the event. The launch of the 2024 Starlight Celebration will begin just one day beforeFinal Fantasy 14releases Patch 7.15 on December 17. The upcoming content update will bring several side quests, including the next chapter ofthe Hildibrand quest series, along with a new custom delivery client and quests for high-level crafters and gatherers. One week after Patch 7.15 will see the launch of the Cloud of Darkness (Chaotic) alliance raid battle on Christmas Eve.
