There are probably plenty more nods to the games in thelatestSonic the Hedgehog 3trailerand related TV commercials, and fans believe they may have found a more obscure one tucked away in the background of Shadow’s fight against Team Sonic in Tokyo. Sonic Stadium recently shared a screenshot of a neon billboard on Twitter, one that seems to depict a pink-haired woman that was previously seen in the very first TailsTube video.

For the uninitiated, TailsTube is a series of officialSonic the Hedgehogweb videos in which Tails and other characters answer questions from fans. Theinitial TailsTube video from March 2022saw Sonic’s high-flying friend explain the relationship between humans and anthropomorphic animals in theSonicuniverse, with one example of the former shown being an unnamed, pink-haired woman who has yet to appear in any other officialSonic the Hedgehogmedia.
TheSonicfandom has been rife with speculation about who this mysterious human is, with some even thinking that she could berelated to the Robotnik familydue to wearing an outfit similar to Dr. Eggman’s. While there isn’t a clear answer, it seems that the filmmakers behindSonic the Hedgehog 3are aware of the character and have inserted a small reference to her in one of the movie’s biggest scenes as yet another creative nod to the games that films are inspired by.
