Windows Central editor and video game insider Jez Corden recently shared on theXbox Two podcastthat he has seen small tidbits ofFable2025gameplay. Despite being in an “Alpha” state, Corden says he thinks the newFablereboot looks “fantastic,” a short but succinct update for fans eager to learn more about the game. Fable Reboot Looks “Fantastic” According to Insider

Corden went on to share more of his thoughts about the game. “You can tell that this game has CD Projekt Red DNA,” he noted. According to Corden, Playground Games, the developers of the newFable, picked up developers from CD Projekt Red, the team behindworld-renowned games likeCyberpunk 2077andThe Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, something that can be felt within the upcoming title. “I believe they picked up the combat designer. And you can kinda tell. I’m not saying it’s 100% 1:1 withThe Witcherbecause it’s not, but you can kinda tell that the melee combat - the pirouettes and the dodging and the dodge rolling, and the seamless hack-and-slash into an execution which looks really, really cool - all that stuff is there.”

The newFablewas confirmed for 2025 at theXbox Games Showcase earlier in 2024, an announcement that was somewhat surprising considering how low-key information about the game had been up to that point. It sounds like combat, among other mechanics, has been overhauled or reworked in the upcomingFablereboot, something that will likely please fans of the series who felt disappointed by the directionFable 3went in.Fablewill be released on Xbox Series X and S, as well as on PC.
