God of War Ragnarokis one of the rare games that delivers bothexceptional gameplay and a captivating story. However, there are times when players just want to cut loose and wreak havoc. Sometimes, the high-stakes narrative takes a backseat to the simple joy of battling hordes of enemies at your own pace.
Fortunately for players,God of War Ragnarokoffers a combat arena tosatisfy those action-packed cravings. However, this feature comes with a notable drawback. The guide below is designed to help you overcome that limitation.
What Is Muspelheim in God of War Rangarok
Once you’ve progressed far enough in the main story andcollected two Muspelheim Seeds, you’ll gain access to this fiery, lava-filled realm. Similar to the previous game, Muspelheim offers robust combat challenges for Kratos to take on, whether you’re looking to sharpen your skills, unwind with some combat, or grind for exclusive resources. Whatever your reason, expect to spend several hours here.
What Is the Limitation in Muspelheim
When you reach Muspelheim, you’ll need to complete six Crucible challenges, spread across three arenas, each featuring two challenges. These arenas are marked with symbols resemblingF, N, and R. The first six challenges are just the beginning of what Muspelheim has to offer.
After completing the initial challenges, a massive sword will appear in the main arena, but you won’t immediately have access to challenges in this central area. Instead, you’ll notice two symbols on the floor, arranged in four pairs. Completing challenges associated with these symbol-paired arenas will unlock a corresponding challenge in the main arena.
Replaying previous challenges just to unlock new onescan be frustrating for many players and might discourage completionists fromfully conquering this realm. Fortunately, there’s a way to bypass this requirement.
Easier Way to Unlock New Challenges in Muspelheim
Instead of replaying challenges in an arena, you can trick the game into registering them as completed. Once the main sword appears in the arena, head to one of the previous arenas and interact with the sword there. Rather than selecting a challenge, choose the Warm Up option.
When the training session begins, interact with the sword again andexit the training mode. This will cause the game to mark that arena’s symbol as complete in the main arena. Repeat this process in another arena, and you’ll unlock a new challenge in the main arena without replaying any previous ones.
Remember, once you unlock a new challenge in the main arena, you must complete it before accessing any other challenges. If you’re struggling, don’t hesitate to lower the difficulty to get through it.
