Summary
Fans looking to dominate in Season 7 ofDiablo 4may need to switch from the game’s currently overpowered Spiritborn class to a new one, with a streamer showing off their ridiculously powerful Druid build. The new Druid build was shown off inDiablo 4’s most recent Public Test Realm (PTR), a limited window that lets players test the new changes and tweaks before the new season officially starts. While the Spiritborn has remained a popular choice during Season 6, Season 7 appears to be the Druid’s time to shine.
Released last year,Diablo 4has managed to remain popular for a variety of reasons. Not only has Blizzard continued to provide support,Diablo 4’s seasonal content updateshave allowed the game to remain fresh for both new and veteran players.Diablo 4Vessel of Hatred, the game’s first official expansion, released earlier this year and added a number of different enemies, loot pools, and boss encounters to the mix. Vessel of Hatred also introduced the brand-new Spiritborn class, a character that has since been min/maxed to the point of absurdity. However, the Spiritborn’s time at the top may be over, with a new build set to become the new meta.
Diablostreamer Rob2628 recently showed off his latest Druid build during the game’s Season 7 PTR, revealing what the class will be capable of going into the next chapter ofDiablo 4. The build was shared by Rob2628 on Twitter, confirming the new build beats outDiablo 4’s overpowered Spiritborn class. WhileDiablo 4’s Spiritborn class was already immensely powerfulgiven the right build, this new Druid configuration puts the class to shame, reaching 9.3 quintillion in damage.
Overpowered Druid Build Discovered in Diablo 4
To achieve this damage, the streamer used the Boulderstorm version ofDiablo 4’s Druid class, an expansion of the class’s boulder build. However, it’s important to note that this is still just the PTR, meaning Blizzard may nerf some of the Druid’s abilities before Season 7 officially starts. Back when Season 6 ofDiablo 4first dropped, it became apparent just how powerful the Spiritborn could be. The class is a reimagining ofDiablo 3’s Witch Doctor class, with players layering different abilities and stat boosts over the last few weeks to craft the most powerful build inDiablo 4.
In a surprising move, Blizzard decided to let players have their fun with the “broken” build, opting not to patch or nerf Spiritborn. The overpowered build has alreadygone viral within theDiablo 4community, though assuming Blizzard doesn’t make too many changes to the new Druid build, it’s likely players will move over to that character going into Season 7.Diablo 4’s Season 7 update arrives in January 2025, giving players at least a month more to use and abuse the Spiritborn class.
