Summary
Xur has returned again toDestiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. The Act 1 intermission is quickly coming to an end, with the second act ready to arrive on November 19. In addition, players only have a few days left to wrap up any leftoverFestival of the Lost content inDestiny 2, as the Halloween-inpsired event ends at reset next week.
Alongside the next part of the Episode: Revenant story, Act 2 is also bringing with it a big midseason update, a newStreet Fightercollaboration, and kicks off Bungie’s free god roll weapons giveaway at Banshee-44. The patch also makessubstantial changes and buffs toDestiny 2’s roaming super abilities, both in a much faster recharge time as well as increased damage in PvE activities.
For now, though, the weekend merchant Xur is back with a new inventory of exotics and legendary gear forDestiny 2players. Follow this guide for his current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he’s brought for the weekend of June 10, 2025.
Where is Xur?
Xur has now taken up permanent residence in the Bazaar area inside The Tower, so there’s no more hunting when the weekend comes around.
Since the Bazaar is located between both fast travel points, players can pick either one to load into. Head into the area where Ikora and Hawthorne are and look for the Ramen Shop towards the back wall. While facing the shop, the alley is to the right, where Xur is standing.
Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
Xur’s role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they’re necessary toacquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.
Transversive Steps - Warlock leg armor
Exotic Perk:
An extremely high roll that is ultimately plagued by a mobility spike. Still, considering that these exotics involve sprinting, perhaps having high mobility isn’t the worst thing. There are better options out there, but auto reloading a weapon after sprinting does come in handy in most circumstances.
Aeon Swift - Hunter gauntlets
It’s back after a week off. Nothing has changed in the meantime, though the overall roll is slightly higher than it was earlier this month. Still, it’s not an item that is a must-have.
Severance Enclosure - Titan chest armor
Probably more fun to mess around with, this exotic isn’t taking down any of the top options available during Episode: Revenant.
