Now, HoYoverse has revealed that theeagerly awaited Version 2.7 ofHonkai: Star Railwill be live on December 4. This new chapter will bring more of the storyline set in Penacony, finishing the story in the region before the Astral Express moves towards the new realm of Amphoreus, the Eternal Land. According to the developers, the update will introduce two new playable five-star characters: Sunday and Fugue. Also, gamers will also have the chance to obtain both Jin Yuan and Firefly, two five-star characters that appeared in previous runs.

Along with the characters and more of the main story, Version 2.7 will bring a new Party Car to the Astral Express, with a new room for the Trailblazer, new cosmetics, and challenges. Unfortunately, the complete patch notes for the new update have not been revealed yet, but it’s expected that it will bring major changes to the game.
While fans are already excited for Version2.7, Honkai: Star Railis already preparing for Version 3.0. HoYoverse has recently revealed two characters that will appear in the first update of 2025, which is expected to go live on January 15.One of the upcomingHonkai: Star Railcharacters is Herta,an Ice-type Erudition character that resides in Amphoreus.
The other major upcomingfive-star character ofHonkai: Star Rail’s Version 3.0 is Aglaea, who is noteworthy for being the first Path of Remembrance character in the game. Reports indicate that Aglaea is a five-star Lighting-type character and that she’s the Dressmaster of Okhema and one of Amphoreus' Chrysos Heirs. In any case, gamers will have plenty to do in Version 2.7 with the new Sunday and Fugue characters before they can explore Amphoreus and its new characters in the upcoming update.
