A newTotal War: Warhammer 3DLC,Omens of Destruction, has been announced with a December 12 release date. Among other things, the upcoming expansion will add toTotal War: Warhammer 3’s selection of Legendary Lords and other units.
Originally launched in February 2022, Creative Assembly’s popular strategy game has received six paid DLC packs since its market debut. The most recent of these additions wasTotal War: Warhammer 3’sThrones of Decayexpansion, which was released back in April 2024.
Sega and Creative Assembly have now announced yet another addition to the game in the form ofOmens of Destruction, which is scheduled to hit the market on December 12. The upcoming expansion will introduce three newTotal War: Warhammer 3Legendary Lords: U’Zhul Skulltaker for the Daemons of Khorne, Golgfag Maneater for Ogre Kingdoms, and Gorbad Ironclaw for the Greenskins. Aside from the infamous Bloodletter, Daemons of Khorne will also receive two new Legendary Heroes: Skyla Anfingrimm and Skarr Bloodwrath. This merciless duo will be joined by half a dozen new unit types: Bloodbeasts, Bloodspeakers, Khorngors, Slaughterbrutes, Skullreapers, and Wrathmongers.
Joining Gorbad Ironclaw in the newTotal War: Warhammer 3DLCis Snagla Grobspit, another Legendary Hero for the Greenskins. The faction will also receive seven additional units: Arachnarok (Flinger), Black Orc (Axe & Shield), Bolt Throwa, Colossal Squig, Mangler Squiqs, Night Goblin Big Boss, and Savage Orc Great Shaman. Finally, aside from Golgfag Maneater, the Ogre Kingdoms will receive Legendary Hero Bragg the Gutsman and seven new units of their own: Blood Vultures, Bruiser, Golgfag’s Maneaters, Ogre Paymaster, Pigback Riders, Thundertusks, and Yhetees.

Much like the base game,Omens of Destructionwill be available via Steam, Epic Games Store, and Microsoft Store. The Skulltaker, Gorbad, and Golgfag add-ons have already received separate listings on Steam, suggesting that they will be sold individually. Sega hasn’t yet shared any concrete price tags, but if itspreviousTotal War: Warhammer 3expansionsare any indication, theOmens of Destructionpacks will plausibly retail for around $10 a piece. It’s currently unclear whether there will be a default discount for buying them together.
Omens of Destructionwill debut alongsideTotal War: Warhammer 3Update 6.0, which will include a new free Legendary Lord in the form of Arbaal the Undefeated for Daemons of Khorne. As per usual, both Arbaal and the upcoming trio of paid Legendary Lords promise to introduce new gameplay dynamics catering to specific playstyles.
