Summary

Dead by Daylightfound its fame and fortune by making collaborations with multiple horror movie and game IPs such asHalloween,Resident Evil, andSaw. These DLCs always brought characters, and sometimes a map centered around iconic horror locations, such as Badham Pre-School and Midwich Elementary for some truly legendaryDead by Daylighttrials.

But not all DLC’s arrived with a map to match, and there are some iconic locations from horror that are in dire need of being created as aDead by Daylightmap. These locations have become just as famous as their relevant horror characters, and would be a welcome addition among fans.

Five Nights at Freddy’shas been one of the most requested crossovers forDead by Daylightof all time, perhaps only second toFriday the 13th. The popularanimatronic horror gamewould undoubtedly be unconventionally terrifying, especially if the map is added alongside the Killers.

Pizzerias are normally places of happiness and joy, but the true horror lies in twisting this location into a place of death and terror. This would make it an appealing option for the Entity, which loves to feed off of despair. The security room, in particular, could serve as the heart of the map, providing a fun loop for Survivors to try and run to outlast their big bad.

Outlastbecame one of the most popular survival horror games upon its release. Its camera-focused gameplay, terrifying enemy design, and frightening location all earned it acclaim. The series has gone on to include one single-player sequel and an online multiplayer game,Outlast: Trials.

The first game was set in Mount Massive Asylum, where journalist Miles Upsher intended to explore for his next big scoop. He gains much more than he bargained for as he explores the terrifying and vast location. To suitDead by Daylight, the map would have to be condensed, but it would fit the game perfectly, tense in the atmosphere, and already containing plenty of lockets designed to hide the player away from enemies.

TheCastlevaniaandDead by Daylightcrossover added legends Dracula and Trevor Belmont to the fog, with a few legendary skins adding more legends to the mist, but there was one glaring omission that did not go unnoticed by the players: that of Dracula’s castle. It appears on the horizon on maps when players play as Dracula, meaning that it is already part of the Entity’s realm.

As such, this would make it a ripe choice for the next map to be added to the game. The Gothic horrorinterior would be a perfect setting for the game, especially when playing the relevant Killer or Survivor. Seeing iconic locations such as the throne room recreated inDead by Daylightwould be the perfect tribute to this legendary game and its passionate fans.

The Iconic Mansion is Equally Majestic and Terrifying

Resident Evilkicked off one of the most beloved and iconic survival horror game franchises of all time. The first game was instrumental in its success, introducing characters to the world of BOWs, to characters such as Jill Valentine and Chris Redfield, and to locations such as the Spencer Mansion.

So far, Resident Evil has had two DLCs inDead by Daylight, resulting in The Raccoon City Police Station being added to the list of realms. While the Police Station is undoubtedly iconic, there are arguments to be made that the Spencer Mansion is equally deserving of a map. Creepy yet beautiful, with many different rooms containing iconic puzzles or tohearken back to scary moments, this map is a must for every OGResident Evilfan.

3The Overlook Hotel (The Shining)

The Most Iconic Horror Hotel of All

The Shining is by far one of the most iconic horror movies of all time, based on theStephen King novelof the same name. Jack Torrance takes his family to the Overlook Hotel, where they will be working and living over the winter period when the hotel is closed for business. The name comes from the psychic ability of the young son Danny. He suffers from frightening visions in the hotel, while Jack’s mental health and sanity deteriorate to dangerously low levels.

The Overlook Hotel is an iconic location both in fiction and the real world, as The Stanley Hotel is a real place people can visit and stay at. The presence of ghosts and disturbing visions makes this hotel less of a cozy home away from home and more of a nightmare, making it the perfect location for aDead by Daylightmap. Several famous maps from other IPs feature jumpscares or references, and forThe Shining, Behaviour would be spoiled for choice.

Silent Hillalready received one map in the form of Midwich Elementary, which is undoubtedly a fantastic choice of locations, but there is certainly room for at least one more, andSilent Hill 2has plenty of options. One of the most memorable andfrightening locations in the seriesis known to be Brookhaven Hospital, as it taps into the common fear of hospitals, and introduces the terrifying nurse enemies.

If Behaviour Interactive were to every consider anotherSilent Hillcrossover, the location they choose for a map should definitely be Brookhaven Hospital. It has certified itself as an iconic location, and the tension that comes when exploring these dark corridors is undeniable, and whatDead by Daylightneeds more of.

1Camp Crystal Lake (Friday the 13th)

A Friday the 13th Crossover is Sorely Missing

Friday the 13this one of the most requested DLCs to be added toDead by Daylight, its absence is sorely felt what with otherlegendary horror moviecharacters already in the game. Unfortunately, it is subject to copyright issues which thus far have restricted it from being added to the game, but fans can still dream.

If this crossover ever becomes a possibility, a Camp Crystal Lake map is as much of a must as Jason being the Killer. Having had the chance to see the camp in action in the Friday the 13th online game, gamers already know the potential this location holds as a map, with plenty of potential loops with map tiles and vault locations.
