Years before the story begins, the Emperor of Szaalenden chose fourteen warriors to fight against the evil land of Wischtech. During the journey, three of these warriors succumbed to the dangers of Wischtech. After that, seven of the eleven remaining warriors fled, afraid to keep on. Only four, including main character Ascheriit, remained and succeeded in the quest. However, when marching back to their homeland, they were ambushed and killed by the seven who had fled. These seven warriors, seen as heroes, told the emperor that the four warriors were traitors, who became symbols of treachery and treason.

Fans Are A Bit Worried About The Adaptation

The reaction to the trailer seems generally good, and many people are happy this series is finally getting an adaptation. People who didn’t know about the series seem to be interested in the new animation. However, some fans expressed concern about possible censorship.

According to them, the series is more violent than the trailers portray, and they are also worried that scenes with more erotic or sexual tones will not be adapted. Part of this worry might be more related to the international release, since previous sexually-themed anime have aired uncensored in Japan.
