The new content is scheduled to roll out on an undisclosed date “after the festive season” and is part of the Season 1 Reloaded mid-season refresh which begins on December 5. Encouraging players to keep an eye out forSquid Game-related content in limited-time modes acrossBlack Ops 6andWarzone, the devs shared that more details were “coming soon.”
Call of Duty Gives a Peek into Its Squid Game Crossover
Call of Duty’s newestSquid Gametease includes three different skins that give a nod to the highly celebrated TV series. These skins are essentially the costumes worn by the crew of masked guards depicted in the thriller directed by Hwang Dong-hyuk. The team-up withCall of Dutycomes around a crucial time for the Netflix-owned IP which is set to release its second season on December 26. Given the popularity of Activision’s long-running shooter franchise, the themed content looks poised to generate even more interest inSquid GameSeason 2 ahead of its arrival.
