Black Ops 6 Lets Players Pay to Get New Sirin 9mm SMG Early

Players have already managed to unlock the Shadow Perk andBuffer Weight Stock as part ofBlack Ops 6’s Hit List event, but there are still another 30 billion eliminations required to unlock the Sirin 9mm SMG. But, for those who don’t want to wait for the community to unlock the reward, the weapon can now simply be purchased from theCall of Dutystore. On November 26, Treyarch released the new Cash Bandit bundle, which includes a variety of cosmetic items and a weapon blueprint for the yet-to-be-released Sirin 9mm SMG. For those unaware, base weapons are permanently unlocked inBlack Ops 6whenever a user owns a blueprint for it, which means the Sirin 9mm can be permanently unlocked before the event milestone is even reached by purchasing the new bundle, which costs 2,800 COD points.

As expected,Black Ops 6players aren’t happywith Treyarch’s decision to include the weapon in a store bundle. YouTuberJGODsaid it is “sad” to gatekeep the weapon behind a paywall until the event is over, whileNicksaid that “purposely setting the community event super high so it takes forever to achieve and then paywalling a shortcut is the most scummy thing you may do.” Plenty of other players echoed similar comments, with many saying that it “should never” have been included in the bundle.

Unfortunately, this is just the latest controversy surrounding the newestCall of Dutytitle’s microtransactions. Earlier this week, Treyarch released the highly-anticipated Replacer bundle, which allowed fans to play as the popular character used inBlack Ops' marketing videos. But players were quicklydisappointed by the newBlack Ops 6bundleafter it was revealed that the Blackcell Battle Pass must be purchased to unlock the operator’s second variant, meaning the bundle would be double the cost if players wanted to unlock all of its accompanying cosmetics.
