Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Responds to Hit Registration Issues

Unfortunately for Treyarch,Black Ops 6’s double XP event and massive playlist updateweren’t enough to make fans forget about the shooter’s ongoing hit registration issues. Since the game’s launch on October 25, players have reported numerous issues withBlack Ops 6’s hit registration. While not everyone may have experienced the issue, many claim that their shots are not connecting with their opponents, despite being accurate and on target. Now, in a new statement on Twitter, Activision claims that this was a result of “erroneous visual blood effects,” as opposed to an issue with the game’s hit registration.

As expected, the studio’s dismissal ofBlack Ops 6’s hit registration issueshas angered the entire community. After being viewed more than two million times and counting, fans believe Activision is “gaslighting” players into thinking that there are no issues with hit registration and that it was actually due to blood effects appearing from enemies when shots are being missed. Content creatorWestiesaid that it is “becoming really tiresome,” whileLoochysaid, “I’m sorry but I’m not gonna be gaslit into thinking the ‘erroneous visual blood effects’ are to blame.”

The issue isn’t just confined toBlack Ops 6either, asWarzoneplayers are also encountering the same experiences in thefree-to-play battle royale title. YouTuber FlexZ even respondedwith a clipasking the studio to explain how there is not an obvious hit registration issue with the game. In the clip, the content creator can be seen hitting multiple shots directly on target but did not receive a single hit marker. Only time will tell whether or not the immense backlash from the community will result in a further statement from the studio.
