Activision shared the patch notes forBlack Ops 6andWarzoneon its website. ForBlack Ops 6, movement mechanics got an upgrade, with faster high mantling making it easier to climb walls and ledges smoothly. Gunsmith also received an important fix that stops players from accidentally equipping a ninth attachment. For controller players, there’s a handy new feature: they can now double-tap the left D-Pad in the Firing Range to inspect theirBlack Ops 6weapon, which is a small but appreciated touch.

Black Ops 6’s Zombies modealso saw some improvements. Issues such as odd zombie behavior on maps like Terminus and problems with equipping blueprints have been fixed. Those zombies that were previously passive are now back to their usual aggressive selves. On top of all that, stability updates have been added across the board to make the game run more reliably.

The latest update also brought some key changestoWarzone’s Area 99. Player counts have been reduced across all game modes to improve match flow and limit disruptions during firefights. For instance, solo matches now max out at 40 players instead of 45. The idea is to strike a better balance between intense action and quieter moments. The update also tweaked audio for legacy Operators fromModern Warfare 2and3, making their sound levels match those of theBlack Ops 6characters. Additionally, the Gas Mask animation now only plays when the player removes it and it won’t interrupt controls or aiming.

Both games are getting regular updates, so players can look forward to ongoing tweaks and new content that keepCall of Dutyfresh and exciting. Activision has also reassured fans that more improvements are on the way.

After reviewing internal data, we’ve made the decision to slightly adjust the player count on Area 99, our newest Resurgence map.

The updated player counts are as follows:

These changes aim to improve the overall pacing of each match and reduce the frequency of third-party interruptions during engagements. We hope to reduce friction by striking a better balance between action and player agency, allowing players the all-important time to loot up - and get their Loadout.

In the meantime, we’ll continue monitoring feedback and data to make further adjustments if needed.

We look forward to sharing more about upcoming Warzone updates soon.
