Himawari Uzumaki is one of the most prominent characters in theBorutoseries, and certainly an individual to watch out for. Himawari was largely inactive in the first part of Boruto, being way too young to actually take part in any combat or have any important roles assigned to her. Now, things are quite different inBoruto: Two Blue Vortex.
With 3 years having passed since the first part of the Boruto,Himawari is more than just capable of playing a major role in the series. In fact, the first few arcs of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex have already given fans a glimpse of what she’s capable of, and what she’s going to do in the future of this story. More than that, fans know her to have the potential to surpass even the legendary 7th Hokage of Konoha, Naruto Uzumaki. This might be unbelievable for some fans, but it is certainly something that could end up being true.
How Himawari Gained The Power Of Kurama
It is quite easy for fans to see that Naruto Uzumaki is one of the most powerful characters in the entire franchise, and for good reason. In fact, Naruto’s showing against Isshiki is certainly the strongest performance by any individual in the entire series, and he stands tall even above the regular Otsutsuki of the series. Of course, Shibai is still likely stronger than Naruto, but that’s a character that only exists in legends and most certainly does not even have a physical body. As such, not counting Shibai, Naruto is quite easily the strongest character seen in the series.
Girl, do you know who I am? – Kurama
A big portion of Naruto’s strength was Kurama, his Tailed Beast. Although Kurama was Naruto’s enemy at one point, due to his incredible hard work and his blazing passion, Naruto eventually conquered his evil as well and turned him into his best friend. Ever since then, he has been absolutely unstoppable in combat. However, just like all other good things, Naruto’s bond with Kurama came to an end as well and these two eventually parted. This came during Naruto’s battle against Isshiki. Using his own and Kurama’s chakra as kernels to create a new source of energy, Naruto tapped into the power of Baryon Mode. Baryon Mode proved to be Great enough for Naruto Uzumaki to rival the likes of Isshiki in combat. In fact, Naruto’s power was such that he managed to reduce Isshiki’s lifespan to a matter of seconds. Essentially, this power was so great that Naruto surpassed Isshiki’s power level and became the strongest character in the entire Boruto series. However, with this power came a big loss, and that was Kurama’s death. Unfortunately, after this fight, Naruto did not have his greatest source of power anymore.
Many fans hoped for Kurama to somehow return to the storyand become Naruto’s source of power once again. However, the author had other ideas. InBoruto: Two Blue Vortex, it was clearly revealed to the fans that Kurama and Naruto Uzumaki were not going to reunite. Instead, Kurama found a new owner, and much to the surprise of the fans, this owner turned out to be none other than Naruto’s own daughter, Himawari Uzumaki.

Himawari Can Control Kurama Better Than Anyone Else
Now, of course, fans might be wondering as to how having the power of Kurama allows Himawari to surpass her own father. It must be stated that right now, Himawari is nowhere close to Naruto in terms of power level. In fact, she can’t even beat Naruto without his Tailed Beast. But, Himawari has the tools to surpass Naruto in the future. This was clearly stated by Kurama himself, who mentioned that she has a better connection with him than any other Jinchuriki before, including Naruto himself. Of course, they are not fully bonded yet, given that they have not had too much time together. But, she is already a Perfect Jinchuriki and can make full use of Kurama’s power.
Of course, but, whatever he has to offer can be utilized by Himawari to the fullest.

As was seen in the battle against Jura, Himawari can regenerate at a blazing-fast speed. In fact, no matter what kind of damage she takes, she can heal from it within seconds. She can also extend her healing to other individuals in the Naruto world, which was seen when she healed Inojin, who was pierced right through the chest and was essentially dead. More than that,Himawari already has tremendous physical power, and chakra control of an immense level. She can manifest abilities like a Tailed Beast Bomb and do just about anything that Kurama can.
Undoubtedly, Himawari’s powers are already on another level, and, as stated by Kurama himself, the link between these two characters is greater than the link that he has shared with any other previous Jinchuriki, including Naruto.
This actually means that Himawari can utilize more of Kurama’s powers and far easier than Naruto could. It also gives her access to abilities that Naruto could never access, and that is what makes things far more interesting here.
Can Himawari Surpass All Previous Kurama Jinchuriki?
Himawari Can Reach Sky-High Levels As A Jinchuriki
Clearly,Himawari is being built up to surpass all the previous Jinchuriki of Kurama. It might even be possible for Himawari to access Baryon Mode without the side effects. Given that her synchronization with Kurama’s chakra is far more natural than Naruto’s and she can access more of his power, Himawari might actually create a way to bypass the side effects of Baryon Mode, and give herself a way to utilize this power without dying. That would certainly be one hell of a power-up for her, and it would ensure that she surpasses her father in combat. More than that, Himawari also has the Byakugan, which can perhaps be enhanced significantly with the power of Kurama, and this could further strengthen her powers and ensure that she goes on to surpass Naruto Uzumaki.
When Kurama does fully mature andHimawari grows into a strong and collected shinobi, then, perhaps, it would be time for her to surpass the legacy of Naruto Uzumaki and become one of the strongest in the world, potentially becoming the most powerful Jinchuriki that fans have seen in the entire Naruto franchise.
Of course, so far, fans have only gotten a glimpse of Himawari’s true strength, and it will certainly take them some time to actually see all of her power. As the Boruto series continues, fans will most definitely get to see more of her and her tremendous strength in combat, which will be a significant step forward for both the treatment of female characters in this series and, at the same time, her own growth as well. Right now, fans just simply need to sit backand watch Himawari follow in her father’s footstepsand aim to become a phenomenal ninja of the Leaf, just like the Seventh.
