Black Ops 6 Zombiesfeatures a few enemy types outside of the usual rotting flesh bags of zombies. One specifically, is the parasite. These creepy winged bug creatures are bound to cause a bout of discomfort to anyone whoisn’t a fan of bugs, especially ones that spit acid and most certainly would not make a decent house pet.
Black Ops 6Zombiessometimes requires players to commit to specific challenges, whether it’s using a certain Field Upgrade, or eliminating enemies like parasites. Those who want to complete thesechallenges for weapon camosor XP can find just where to find parasites and how to eliminate them.
How to Perform Parasite Eliminations in Black Ops 6
Parasites are a zombie type found on three maps:
To find and kill Parasites, players must access any of these 3 maps, whether that’s in Directed Mode or a Standard match of round-based zombies. Once in, Parasites will spawn with their own special Max Ammo round which usually occurs every 5 to 7 rounds. However, these Max Ammo rounds are only attributed to Terminus and Citadelle des Morts. When it comes to the two maps mentioned and The Tomb, Parasites will be found spawning alongside regular zombies from round 8 onwards, but be warned, failing to kill a Parasite quickly will see it transform a standard zombie into a Doppelghast.
To easily deal with Parasites, players are going to want to use any hitscan weapon that isn’t projectile based, since the Parasites often fly rather skittishly overhead, and can dodge things like explosives as they spit acid from above. Any gun will do, but more importantly, Parasites have a critical weakness to the Cryofreeze Ammo Mod, which can be purchased at The Arsenal for 500 Salvage. Using Cryofreeze against Parasites will near-instantly kill them, but they are notoriously weak anyway, so any gun will do the trick.
There is also a way toforce parasites to spawn on Terminus. All players need to do to activate this is toturn on the power of the mapand take a tactical raft out to the sea. From here, use the tactical raft to look around certain rock pools, as one of them will becovered in spores. After finding the spore-covered rock, simply shoot the spores to see parasites spawn from within. Destroying all the spores on the rock will spawn even more parasites, but do be careful, as staying out on the water for too long with summon a tentacle that unleashes a toxic gas cloud that can slowly kill players and damage the tactical raft.
