Summary
Violet, more commonly known as Vi, is one of the most well-knownLeague of Legendscharacters, especially after her major involvement inArcane.
Vi has become afan-favorite among the casual audience, but she has also been a very popular jungler for many years in normal and competitive play. Being in the game for around twelve years, she has amassed a dozen skins for players to choose from, and this list should provide a good idea of which ones to buy and avoid.
12Debonair Vi
Deluxe Skin
Debonair is easily Vi’s worst skin inLeague of Legends. This skin adds next to nothing in terms of unique visual and sound effects. It is simply a re-skin of Vi’s default skin with a more formal look for the brawler.
While it is fairly priced at 750 RP, it isn’t recommended to buy this skin as there are plenty of better options for slightly higher prices.
11Officer Vi
Standard Skin
Officer Vi is quite similar to most of the basic skins for Vi, as there isn’t a noticeable change to the looks of her abilities. However, Officer does have a nice outfit for Vi, which captures her role as the Enforcer.
The best part about this skin is the police sirens when using her ultimate. However, for 975 RP, it is not the best bang for the buck.
10Arcane Undercity Vi
Arcane Undercity Vi was her firstArcane-themed skin, released a week beforeSeason 1 of the seriesconcluded. While it doesn’t boast any major features, there are some neat additions to the VFX that help it stand out from the previous entries on the list.
After the conclusion of Arcane Season 2, it also serves as a reminder of Vi’s character arc, which adds to the overall feel of the skin.
9Neon Strike Vi
Neon Strike Vi is the best skin for the Piltover Enforcer that doesn’t feature major changes to the VFX of her abilities. One of the biggest reasons for it being a fan favorite among Vi mains is the cool recall animation.
Apart from this, the unique outfit and color scheme also suit Vi unexpectedly well, making it a worthwhile investment for players looking to pick up a budget Vi skin.
8Heartbreaker Vi
Epic Skin
Heartbreaker Vi is one of the eight skins that have distinct visual and sound effects. Unfortunately, it has the honor of being the worst among this particular class. The color palette and theme just don’t suit Vi quite well.
The sound effects on her abilities are also seriously lacking, and it is often quite clunky compared to her other epic skins.
7Warring Kingdoms Vi
Warring Kingdoms Vi is another epic skin that feels flat compared to its potential. The green aesthetic and overall theme of Vi being an enforcer forAzir, the Emperor of the Sands, in this alternate universe is a great concept.
The sound effects are frankly abysmal, which really puts a dent in this skin. If this skin had better visual flair and SFX, it could easily be a top-four skin for Vi.
6Primal Ambush Vi
Primal Ambush is Vi’s latest epic skin, and the first pair of champions to feature in this new skin universe alongside Riven, Talon, and Sivir. The tiger-based theme of this skin suits Vi well, but it lacks impact in the VFX department, much like Heartbreaker and Warring Kingdoms.
In terms of the in-game character model, this is one of Vi’s best skins, but the mediocre sound effects that rely too much on animalistic growls are a letdown. However, it is definitely in the upper echelon of Vi skins that players can consider buying.
5PsyOps Vi
PsyOps Vi is quite a minimalistic yet powerful epic skin. It doesn’t have overly flashy visual effects, but it makes up for it with clean sound effects and smooth animations. The only improvement that can be made to the skin is a better character model. Otherwise, it is one of Vi’s best skins in terms of animation and thematic.
4Arcane Brawler Vi
Legendary Skin
Arcane Brawler is Vi’s first legendary skin, and it is a big disappointment. It ranks this high on the list purely because of its entirely new animations and sound effects. Apart from this, it feels like a more enhanced version of her regular skin.
For the hefty price of 1820 RP, it doesn’t change much about Vi. While it is aesthetically relevant tothe events of Arcane Season 2, it fails to stand out as a good legendary skin and is a big letdown on what could have been an exceptional cosmetic.
3Heartache Vi
Heartache Vi is the better version of Heartbreak as the color palette of black and red perfectly captures Vi’s character. The sound effects are brilliant, and the slick animations are the cherry on top.
This is a well-made skin for Vi as she looks cool and on-brand in terms of character design. This is a skin that players can definitely look to purchase for a worthwhile price of 1350 RP.
