She will voice her marvel at the hustle and bustle of business, which is sure to be an alien sight for her considering her isolated upbringing. It’s a refreshing change of pace from her usual dialogue and offers a glimpse into her character that players might not have had the chance to discover yet through speaking with her at the camp.

A Humorous Remark Shows Her Attitude Toward The Opposite Sex
Despite living in a swamp with her mother as her sole companion for most of her life, Morrigan still has many opinions to share about the outside world and the people dwelling within it, and for the most part, she is right on the mark, or at the very least partially right.
This piece of dialogue illuminates the experience she has had running into men outside the swamp and hilariously sums up her opinions toward them, as well as hinting that she can very easily manipulate them. In one conversation with Morrigan, she opens up that when she was younger, she would occasionally wander out of the swamp to watch the people of the civilized world, and their culture, which is unfamiliar to her. She tells a story of a time she stole a bejeweled hand mirror from a carriage belonging to a rich noblewoman, and brought the pilfered treasure back home. Flemeth discovers it and smashes it to teach Morrigan a lesson.
Most people might hold a slight grudge over this action or at the very least think it harsh, but not reminisce about it too much. Morrigan takes a whole different approach that reflects her maturity and wisdom, citing these lessons as essential for her survival. And her words might ring true, as Morrigan has survived many hardships, including the Blight itself.
This might be one of the more serious quotes to come from Morrigan, and the series as a whole. It brings the dangers of people to the world around them into conversation. Though it is surely an opinion shared by many in the world ofDragon Age, none are fearless enough to voice it as Morrigan.
Once, she was far removed from the worries of the world, having spent years living completely isolated from others, and voicing her displeasure whenever help was offered to others. Her character had clearly undergone a lot of development by the time of the events ofInquisition, and this quote is a perfect summary of that.

If Morrigan is one of the party members, she offers her rather blunt but honest perspective on the Dalish, claiming it isthe superior choice. Considering Morrigan’s life was free from the constraints of society buttied to her mother, it is understandable she would have this outlook on the subjects of freedom and oppression.

One thing a parent wishes for the most is just to be a good role model and guardian for their child…unless they are Flemeth, it would seem. Though she seems eccentric but otherwise harmless at first inOrigins, Flemeth’s plans for her daughters become revealed through Morrigan’s companion quest in Origins, and her true nature is unveiled throughout the games.
Morrigan is intent on breaking the cycle though, as she has her own child through a dark ritual to save the Warden’s life, and leaves with him. Players meet Kieran inInquisition, who is a gentle-mannered boy, likely because of his upbringing. If this wasn’t proof enough, in a confrontation between the two, Morrigan passionately claims she will not be the mother Flemeth was, showingincredible character growth.
