With the release of Patch 7,Larian Studios added full mod support toBaldur’s Gate 3, encouraging players to try out all sorts of mods to customize their campaign into something unique. While the modding scene was already active before this patch, it served to spur on the community to take their efforts to the next level.
Accessories inBaldur’s Gate 3come in two flavors: purely cosmetic add-ons to customize a character’s appearance, like piercings, or gameplay-affecting items that go in the accessory slots, which consist of rings, amulets, and underwear.
8Ring of Morning Routine

An extremely underrated mod, the Ring of Morning Routine is ahuge quality-of-life upgradein the mid to late game once players start getting access to a long list of powerful buffing spells that last until the next long rest. The Ring of Morning Routine simplifies this tedious task by automating the process. One activation of this Ring and players will have automatically buffed their entire party with the entire list of buffs in one go.
Best of all? It scales with the level of the user. So if a character is level 7 and uses the Ring, the buffs that affect the party will be scaled according to the spell slots a character of that level is supposed to have access to. There is no fear of breaking the balance of the game. This accessory is only meant to serve as a time saver.

Glowing Accessories and Dyes is a game changer for uplifting the otherwise bland rings and necklaces characters wear into something eye-catching. When installed, it adds a small host ofaccessories that glow in the darkwith a soft hue that stands out even when viewed from above at the proper angle.
Best of all, the mod also has the option of adding glow effects to the other accessories in the game, including ones added by other mods, making it an all-in-one solution to incorporate light effects in all equipment a character wears.

Ritual Spells inBaldur’s Gate 3are spells that have very little use in combat and don’t require a spell slot to cast. Having the ability to cast them is still absolutely crucial, especiallyspells like Speak with Deadand Speak with Animals, as they are required to access useful dialogue options players otherwise wouldn’t have access to. However, keeping them prepared eats up a caster’s precious preparation slots, making them weaker in combat as a result.
The Underwear of Rituals is a mod that solves this problem by putting an enchantment on a pair of Underwear containing five extremely useful Ritual Spells. They areSpeak with Dead,Disguise Self,Speak with Animals,Feather Fall, and Enhance Leap.

Despite being aCRPG with a top-down perspective,Baldur’s Gate 3players pay a lot of attention to the minute details of their character’s appearance because, unlike a lot of other games in this genre, cutscenes that close in on the characters are the norm, not the exception.
Piercing Improvement - Physics mod does what it says on the tin andadds physics to the piercingsany character has. It’s a seemingly small change that can be very noticeable once implemented in the game. Additionally, the physics is applied to all piercings, even those added by other mods.
4Kay’s Hair Extensions

Hair choices in Baldur’s Gate 3 are lackluster at best. The base game hair options only allow for a few decent hairstyles, requiring players who want to create a custom character that feels different from the rest torely on hair modsto pick up the slack.
Kay’s Hair Extension fixes that problem by allowing the players tomix and match parts of the existing hairstyles inBaldur’s Gate 3to their heart’s content. Every ‘Hair extension’ added by the mod is just a selected portion of another hairstyle that’s already in the base game.
3Faerun Colors

InBaldur’s Gate 3,Dyes are a way for players to customize the appearance of their armor setswithout having to change them. In the base game, the dyes only offer basic color changes that get stale after a while. Faerun Colors fixes that problem by adding80+ new color schemesthat can drastically change the way an armor looks in a way the base game dyes just can’t.
As an added bonus, all dyes added by the mod are tied to a deity of Faerun, as described byDungeons and Dragonslore. For players serious about role play, this is an excellent way to further immerse themselves into the world Larian created. The deities that have already been covered range from Shar, Selune, and Lathander to The Tiamat, Bahamut, Mystra, and many more.

Ancient Jewelry is a huge mod that adds exactly111 new rings and amulets toBaldur’s Gate 3in an organic way. The accessories range from uncommon all the way to legendary items that players can use to change up their playthrough without issue.
The mod author has created two versions of the mod; one is Roleplay, where the jewelry is hand-placed at locations throughout the three Acts in a way that makes sense lore-wise. The second version is called Cheat, where all items added by the mod are placed in the tutorial chest for players to use as they wish. Every ring and amulet has unique enchantments that can drastically affect gameplay, like gaining back spell slots as a reward for defeating enemies, doubling the critical damage if the right conditions are met, or adding a buff that permanently gives an advantage on all dice rolls at the cost of never rolling a NAT 20.
