Bandai Namcois one of the biggest publishers in the gaming industry, as it owns the rights to multiple major franchises, includingDark Souls,Pac-Man,Tales, andTekken. 2024, however, was a bit of a mixed bag for the company. On the one hand, it released several high-quality games this year, likeGundam Breaker 4,Dragon Ball; Sparking Zero!, and the universally-acclaimedTekken 8. On the other hand, a few ofBandai Namco’s 2024 titles were met with mixed-to-negative reception.Jujutsu Kaisen: Cursed ClashandUnknown 9: Awakeningwere panned by critics, while games likeSword Art Online: Fractured DaydreamandDeath Note: Killer Withinreceived divisive reviews.
With that being said, Bandai Namco’s slate of upcoming releases seems fairly promising. So far, the company has announced 7 games that it plans to publish, such as the Supermassive Games-developed horror platformerLittle Nightmares 3andthe dark action RPGDawnwalkerfrom Rebel Wolves. While these two particular titles haven’t received exact release windows just yet, some other ones have already been dated. In fact, four of Bandai Namco’s games are set to be launched in the first half of 2025. Unless any unexpected delays occur, it seems like the publisher will get off to a pretty strong start next year.
