Since the launch of the game last year, fans have been very creative with this level of freedom. There was even oneBaldur’s Gate 3player who created a hilarious underwear build.
Redditor diet2thewind shared their impressiveBaldur’s Gate 3Eldritch Knight build, which has been created to resemble theArcanecharacter, Caitlyn. They decided to make this build after being “deep in my Arcane brainrot,” and it looks awesome. They have even attempted to model the character’s Guardian after the character Jayce. The decision behind making this character an Eldritch Knight was “mostly for the action economy,” with the player being able to make three attacks every turn, and for “magic synergy.”

Of course, this isn’t just any old Eldritch Knight build. This one has a gunslinger twist, with the player using aBaldur’s Gate 3weapon modto use a flintlock pistol in-game. This is in line with the Caitlyn inspiration, and it fits perfectly. While one player suggested that the upcoming subclass in Patch 8, Arcane Archer, might be a better fit for this build, diet2thewind agreed, but they didn’t want to wait a few months to begin this playthrough.
The next few months are set to be a very exciting period forBaldur’s Gate 3fans. It was recently revealed thatPatch 8 is coming forBaldur’s Gate 3, bringing many long-awaited features like crossplay and Photo Mode, as well as a few more surprises for players. As part of the announcement, Larian also marked the end of an era. It seems that Patch 8 will be the last major patch forBaldur’s Gate 3, with the studio then largely moving on to other projects. While Larian did announce its plans to move on from the game earlier this year, it’s still strange to see it actually happen. Presumably, the developer will still be active in fixing any enormous game-breaking issues that may pop up in the future.
