Players can only have five Jokers at a time, except in certain cases, andthese Jokers can make or break a run inBalatro. Good Joker deck synergy is key to winning a game, and having the right Jokers helps the player bulldoze their way to victory. Jokers come in different rarities; Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Legendary. The higher the rarity, the more powerful the effect they have.
What Are The Legendary Jokers In Balatro?
There areonly five Legendary Jokers in the gameofBalatro. These are extremely hard to find and do not show up in the shop normally. They have to beobtained through special means. These Jokers have the most powerful effects in the game, though having a Legendary Joker doesn’t guarantee victory unless the rest of your arsenal can supplement its effect properly.

How To Get Legendary Jokers In Balatro
Legendary Jokers do not appear in the normal shopthat players visit after each round. At least, not out in the open. To obtain a Legendary Joker, players need toobtain the spectral card, “The Soul.” When used, this card creates a Legendary Joker if the player has an open slot.
To get “The Soul,” you need toopen spectral packs. However, this card only has a0.3% chance of appearing, though the chance increases as you open more packs. The more spectral packs you open,the higher the chance that this card will spawnin any given pack. There are two Jokers in the game — Seance and Sixth Sense — that generate Spectral Cards on activation, increasing the chances of obtaining The Soul.
Additionally, the Ghost Sense Deck allows spectral cards to appear in the shop.
