Linke was happy with the reception and satisfied that they were ending the show after two seasons, as it was always the plan. “I’m really happy that so far, our season is landing well. I’m somewhat anxious because, as someone who watches TV, I don’t know how many TV shows you’ve watched that had an ending that everyone is satisfied with. The list is not very long, so it is intimidating. And, you know, this is the end,” he told Games Radar. He added that he was actually feeling mixed emotions. He was both excited and anxious. “There’s no way to weasel your way out of the decisions you’ve made, with how you’re wrapping things up.So there’s a certain excitement, and an anxiety to see what people think.But also, I’m really proud of what we did with the last act. I know there’s amazing stuff in there - honestly, just excited,” Linke added.
AlthoughArcanewas only designed for two seasons, there were reportedly plans to explore theLeague of Legendscinematic universe. So, fans are likely to see projects similar to Arcane, which explores the various characters from theLeague of Legendslore. So, while Jinx and Echo’s storylines have seemingly wrapped up, fans will learn more about the other characters like Mel Medarda. In the final season of Arcane, Mel finally fought her mom, Ambessa Medarda. Mel can beat Ambessa with Caitlyn’s help and deliver her tothe Black Rose, who had been looking for her. However, Mel surprisingly betrayed Black Rose, the secret organization that also served as her home, seemingly pointing to a deeper storyline that fans could probably see in the upcoming shows. In a Twitch interview with streamer Necrit94, Linke confirmed they were working onthree newLeague of LegendsTV shows. The projects were reportedly in development already for nearly a year.
Arcane is a great TV show; even those who do not playLeague of Legendslove it after watching the series. One need not immerse themselves in the game to understand what the show is all about. There are many elements to love about it. For instance, the storytelling was so engaging as it had the right amount of sociopolitical themes and personal drama. The characters are complex but relatable.Vi and Jinx’s relationshiphighlights the bond between siblings. It also showcases how trauma and betrayal affect relationships.
