The post also highlighted a few interesting statistics about the game, including its one Steam Award win, as well as over 1.1 million reviews, which currently sit at “Overwhelmingly Positive” on Steam.

The game’s original creator, Garry Newman, also chimed in on the anniversary. He told the story of how he initially refused Valve’s offer of sellingGarry’s Modon Steam, as he believed that no one would pay for it. AlthoughGarry’s Modremains very popular on PC, Facepunch Studios is hard at work on its successor on the Source 2 engine.
